"How will this mini course save me time and mental energy?"

We are all guilty of holding onto too many memories in their digital form without ensuring the next generation has tangible treasures to cherish.

Unfortunately retaining untold scores of photos on our phones means we are constantly making decisions about which ones to keep and which ones to throw out, exhausting our mental energy and wasting our time.

By having a routine in place that replaces hoarding habits with decluttering tactics, you'll find yourself able to dedicate mental space and time to things that matter so much more than digital storage. Can I get an 'amen'?

A Note From Jaime...

As a child I loved thumbing through family photo albums, dusting off old boxes of prints, and watching my mom's slideshows from her Europe travels. Later on, picking up packets of my freshly developed film-turned-prints became one of my favourite routines. There was just something about quickly sorting through a packet of prints and deciding which to keep and which to toss, and then slipping my favourites into an album.

And then the advent of digital photography, and more impactful still, iPhone photography, rendered these processes almost obsolete for me.

Until I had my own kids. When I discovered how much they loved looking at my old albums and thumbing through dusty prints in boxes just like I did, I realized I needed to start printing their memories like our parents did for us. And so I began tackling my digital hoarding habits, megabyte, by megabyte.

The thing is, you might never have the chance to go through EVERY. SINGLE. FILE from the past decade, but what you CAN do is begin decluttering your digital stockpile RIGHT NOW. With just this week's photos. Once you get quick at it, you can always go back and effectively sort through the backlog. But let's start with today shall we? Let's start with making our memories more than digital highlight reels our kids may never see, and instead give them heirlooms to cherish and pass on.
